Chapter 1123: Baby, You’re Distracting Me from Work
Turning his face slightly, he stiffly stared at Watt Bennet.
"She has nothing to do with you!" Watt Bennet yanked back the hand of Summer Sutton that he was holding, threw down a sentence, and pulled her straight towards the car parked on the roadside.
Ryan Walyon watched the two leave, his mind still somewhat blank.
Why did Watt Bennet just give him an illusion that he was Adrian Walyon?
...
After Watt Bennet and Summer Sutton left the restaurant, they got directly into the car.
Watt Bennet drove, with Summer Sutton sitting beside him, and they went straight back to Morning Garden.
Today is Saturday, a day off.
Marshall Quinn still sent a pile of Morningview Group documents to the villa.
Originally, they were sent for Summer Sutton, but after delivery, they were left in the study, and he left.
Watt Bennet, admitting to Adrian Walyon’s identity and responsibilities, took them all upon himself.
After returning, he stayed in the study all day, processing all the files sent by Marshall Quinn himself.
Summer Sutton went into the study to keep him company for a while in the evening.
While Watt Bennet was busy, she moved a chair to sit beside the desk, quietly watching him.
Her gaze fixed on the mask Watt Bennet still wore on his face, and Summer Sutton took it off for him.
She didn’t like Watt Bennet wearing a mask at home constantly; she preferred seeing Adrian Walyon’s face, a face she could never see enough of.
When Summer Sutton looked at him, her eyes sparkling, it was like stars were shining in them.
Watt Bennet turned his head, their gaze meeting, and looking at her like this, his heart moved slightly.
An arm hooked around Summer Sutton’s neck, pulling her toward him, Watt Bennet bent down to lightly place a kiss on her lips.
"Babe, you’re distracting me from work." As his lips moved on hers, he showed no intention of pulling away.
Summer Sutton rolled her eyes at him.
What did she do?
Watt Bennet lifted her into his arms, situated her on his lap, secured her from behind with his arms, brushed the hair behind her ear, his lips trailing slowly down the back of her neck, guiding her face, until kissing her lips.
Summer Sutton snuggled into his embrace, allowing him to continue kissing her, her fingertips playing with his shirt buttons. Suddenly, she asked, "When do you plan to let your family know you’re still around?"
Watt Bennet merely kept kissing her, not answering her question.
Summer Sutton, somewhat dissatisfied with him, raised her fist and hit him, "Adrian Walyon, I’m talking to you!"
Watt Bennet grasped her hand, bringing it to his lips for a kiss, softly murmuring, "Let’s talk about it later!"
He clearly had no plans to do so soon, and besides her, Watt Bennet cared little about others.
Having said that, Summer Sutton had no choice but to stop asking.
"Overtime! Overtime! Look at how much work you’ve piled on me!" Escaping his arms, Summer Sutton urged him with a few words, then went behind him to massage his shoulders.
Her actions were very endearing, causing Watt Bennet’s lips to twitch as he buried himself back into his work.
Summer Sutton accompanied him in the study; past midnight, she couldn’t hold on and fell asleep directly on the sofa.
Watt Bennet finished work at half-past twelve, glancing at her sleeping soundly there, and bent over to pick her up.
The night at the villa was extraordinarily quiet.
Carrying Summer Sutton back to the room, placing her on the bed, he couldn’t help but lean down for another kiss when he saw her adorable sleeping face.
