Chapter 831: Nicholson

As one of the lesser-known low-level planes of the Wild Star Domain, Arbitor World was even less prominent than Sandstorm World.

At least Sandstorm World had energy crystal veins with decent reserves, making it a somewhat valuable asset. Otherwise, Feylis would not have gone through the trouble of pulling a few strings to get it assigned to her favorite apprentice.

Arbitor World, by contrast, offered only plant resources of low value and subpar subgorilla species.

Across the hundreds of complete planes within the Wild Star Domain, Arbitor World was among the most unremarkable.

But today, it had become the stage for a historical event—a battle between two Rank Six beings.

For nearly half a year, Wild Gorilla God and the Black Viperfish Serpent Warlock named Nicholson had clashed here.

Both combatants were powerful in their own right.

Wild Gorilla God, a dominating figure in this star domain and its neighbors, wielded a world-class secret treasure known as the “Gorilla God Hammer”.

Having expanded the territory of its civilization to two medium-sized planes and several low-level worlds, Wild Gorilla God was the undisputed tyrant of this little star domain before the arrival of the Magus Civilization.

Nicholson, his opponent, had long been a highly reputed Rank Six Black Viperfish Serpent Warlock in the Magus World.

The Black Viperfish Serpent Warlock Clan was an ancient lineage, with a history stretching back hundreds of thousands of years.

Over the centuries, it had produced two Rank Six warlocks and more than a dozen Rank Four and Rank Five warlocks.

Though the clan had a long-standing feud with the Kermoine Serpent Warlock Clan, its strength far surpassed that of its rival.

In addition to having a Rank Six leader at the helm, the Black Viperfish Serpent Warlock who had appeared in Arbitor World wielded a world-class secret treasure—a magic rod crowned with what resembled a snake’s fang.

The Kermoine Serpent Warlock Clan indeed had a solid foundation. For a Rank Six expert in the Magus World, acquiring such a treasure was no small feat.

This particular weapon was the Black Viperfish Serpent Warlock Clan’s heirloom. The Silver Fang Scepter was forged a hundred and fifty thousand years ago by a former clan head.

Before his death, he poured every ounce of his mana, along with a staggering amount of the clan’s wealth and resources, into the creation of this masterpiece.

Of course, even world-class secret treasures varied in quality.

The craftsmanship of the Silver Fang Scepter, created through the advanced alchemical techniques of the Magus World and the rarest resources from the Magus Alliance, surpassed that of the Gorilla God Hammer.

While the Gorilla God Hammer was considered a rare and coveted treasure by Rank Four and above gods of ordinary realms, it was a lesser prize in the eyes of Magus World elites with access to vast resources.

The Black Viperfish Serpent Warlock Clan was not as wealthy as the Dragon Warlock Clan.

The Silver Fang Scepter remained the only masterpiece in their possession.

Given the opportunity, Nicholson would love to add the Gorilla God Hammer to his collection.

The proximity of the two planes, coupled with its heightened perception, allowed it to sense the arrival of Magus World’s reinforcements near Sandstorm World.

Half a year was neither too long nor too short.

For Magus World’s reinforcements to reach Sandstorm World now was not surprising—it was, in fact, within Wild Gorilla God’s worst expectations.

By the Magus Civilization’s standards, however, this speed of deployment was considered relatively slow.

This delay was largely due to the Wild Gorilla Army receiving covert support from the Gallant Federation.

They used special methods to block the perceptions of the Magus Civilization’s powerhouses.

In the first few months, particularly, this interference had disrupted prophetic divinations and delayed strategic responses.

Had it not been for two space fortresses docked at Luther Planet that managed to break free and deliver critical information, the Magus Civilization’s reaction might have been delayed by another two months.

Fortunately for the Magus World Army, the reinforcements had arrived in time.

Energy fluctuations from Sandstorm World and Arbitor World indicated that both battlefronts remained locked in fierce combat.

This, however, was a far better situation compared to the devastation on other planes along the reinforcements’ route.

At Luther Planet, for example, the Magus World garrisons stationed across five low-level and microplanes had been completely annihilated by the Wild Gorilla elite forces.

This devastation served as a painful reminder that, despite the vast disparity in strength between the two civilizations, the Wild Gorilla World was still capable of delivering significant blows to the Magus Civilization’s invading forces when cornered.

The arrival of the Magus Civilization’s reinforcements, coupled with the prolonged resistance at Sandstorm World, gave the Wild Gorilla God pause.

After a long, reluctant glance back at the battlefield of Arbitor World, it transformed into a golden streak of light and departed.

This time, it left alone.

There was no time to inform the other two Rank Four Gorilla Gods stationed in Arbitor World, nor the nearly one-million-strong Wild Gorilla Army.

Wild Gorilla God’s destination was clear—Sandstorm World.

Nicholson watched the departure, easily guessing the Rank Six Gorilla God’s intent.

After a moment of consideration, Nicholson decided to give chase.

Although the specific details of the Magus World legions stationed at Sandstorm World were unclear to Nicholson, what truly drove him forward was the allure of the Wild Gorilla God’s treasures—its Rank Six divine relic and world-class secret treasure.

After fighting Wild Gorilla God for nearly half a year, Nicholson was not about to let such valuable spoils slip away.

Regardless of who among the Magus World powerhouses ultimately dealt the killing blow to Wild Gorilla God, Nicholson was determined to claim his share of the spoils—and it would be a substantial share!
