Chapter 375 Erve.
Chapter 375 Erve.
After Beldathiel showed herself to the world, a big gate, as big as a two-story building made out of gold appeared on the border of three nations. She was coming to the world on purpose to find a place to put the gate so it would be close to everyone. People had gathered around the gate, but nobody knew how to use the gate since it couldn't be opened.
People were wondering why a golden gate and not a rift like the previous ones they had encountered. The uniqueness of the gate made them think it was the final fight they had to go through. It gave them hope that everything would be over soon and all they had to do was push themselves beyond the limit for one last time.
"The gate is still not open yet?" Elstria asked as she walked out of the car in her armor.
"No, Your Majesty. Even Lady Victoria used all her power to force open the gate but she failed," Tristan answered as he escorted Elstria to the gate. "Your Majesty, where is Sir Alester? Is he not coming with us?" He asked and tried to find Mykel.
"He will come later. He said that he has something to do first," Elsestria answered and looked at hundreds of Gifted on the sides after they opened a path for Elestria and the Zero Tiers Gifted. "Has anyone found a solution to this?" she asked.@@@@
"Right now Zachary is trying to borrow the power from the Goddess. He might be able to open it, but we are hoping he's right," Tristan answered.
Elestria looked at the golden gate and was mesmerized by it because it looked so otherworldly. She wondered what kind of a being Beldathiel was before she became like that, and how powerful she was.
When she was deep in thought, Zachary approached the gate and everyone was walking away from it. She then focused on him and suddenly a breeze of wind blew around him. But, not long after that Zachary walked away and looked around as if he was looking for someone.
"None of you here are capable of opening this gate. My power is limited in this body, and I can't open it as well," A woman's voice came out of Zachary's mouth. "But, there's someone who can open it. That person isn't among you right now, but he will be able to open it," she pointed out.
Every single one of them was thinking of Mykel since they knew how strong she was. Zachary didn't have to say anything since everyone already knew who that person was. He then regained consciousness and heard what the Goddess had said to them.
After hearing that, Elestria asked Tristan to call Mykel and ordered him to come as soon as possible. Before Tristan could make a phone call, Mykel walked past him, and everyone started to murmur. Nobody saw him coming, and yet he was already walking toward the gate out of nowhere.
"I'm afraid of the future..." Mykel paused to put his hand on the gate. "Can this world survive without me?" He asked as he pushed the gate open.
Everyone was in disbelief when Mykel opened the gate like pushing a normal door. Victoria clenched her fists and was convinced that Mykel wasn't human and believed he was an Erve, the same being as those Gods. Knowing that, she realized that it was impossible to get rid of him and there was nothing she could do.
"(Looks like I need a change of plan)" Victoria thought to herself as she hid her expression with a fan as she looked at Mykel.
Elestria walked toward the gate and then looked at the portal inside, wondering what kind of world awaited them. She then reminded everyone about the plan, the plan to make a truce with Beldathiel and stop everything once and for all.
"Are you willing to tell us what happened in the past?" Elestria asked.
"Of course, why wouldn't I? After all, you're their descendants and I believe they want you to know as well," Beldathiel smiled gently and had no threatening aura around her at all. "What do you want to know?" She asked as she stood up.
"Erve. What does that mean that you're all Contenders of the World?" Elestria answered without hesitation.
"You can say we are the ones who created the whole universe..." Beldathiel paused as she walked toward Mykel. "We fought to decide who's fit to rule this endless and infinite world," she continued as she sat down on Mykel's lap.
Everyone was shocked while Elestria was suspicious of why Beldathiel had been so interested in him. Beldathiel had kissed him before, and now she was sitting on his lap, clinging like she had known him for so long.
"Then what happened? Who's the one that rules this world?" Javelin asked. Explore stories at My Virtual Library Empire
"There was, but what's the point of becoming a leader if an individual has to rule over powerful beings? Would they listen to that leader? Or would they work together and dethrone that leader?" Beldathiel asked back as she stared into Mykel's eyes.
"There used to be one..." Elestria furrowed her eyebrows to think. "Was it you?" She asked.
"No, if she was the leader, she should be kept alive as becoming a leader must have been the strongest of them all. Whoever that leader was, they were either forced to step down or they were stabbed in the back," Victoria responded and looked at Beldathiel with suspicion at how she acted around Mykel.
"I believe it was the latter," Zachary looked at Victoria. "She was backstabbed, and she was the eldest sister of yours," he looked at Beldathiel with curiosity.
Beldathiel chuckled and was amazed by how sharp those people were.
"Now you found your answer as to why we were hunted down, weakened by endless war. But it was just the beginning," Beldathiel got off Mykel's lap and grabbed his cup of tea. "You must be wondering why the Gods made you deal with us even though we are weak and powerless," she added.
"The answer to that is because of the agreement. The agreement to sacrifice someone on each side," Beldathiel said and put a cookie in her mouth. "Can anyone in here know who we sacrificed and who they sacrificed?" She raised her eyebrows as she looked at them.
"You sacrificed your eldest sister..." Elestria paused to think, and then she looked at Beldathiel nervously. "The Gods sacrificed their descendants, us the humans," she pointed out.
"That's correct," Beldathiel smiled.
