Chapter 445 - You Are Now The Owner of The System
Aiden dismissed all his worries to the back of his mind one last time as he observed each of the individuals standing in front of him.
The first one was Ariel who was still as pretty as before. However, Aiden could now look into her eyes without any problems. The spell she had left him before leaving this world a few years ago no longer had any power on him. That's why, in Aiden's eyes, Ariel was the person who he would have the least trouble getting rid of.
The people he would have to be careful of was the Mage, and the Animal-looking human. The person who specialized in Stealth wasn't worrying because of Aiden's talent in that said field of expertise.
Nevertheless, only time would tell, and one thing was sure. Aiden wouldn't be holding back his punches toward anyone. He was here to kill just like he had been thought in the past and nothing would be able to change that ever.
Having wasted enough time talking, Aiden decided to be the one making the first move, as he wanted to see just how powerful each of them was.
Aiden knew that the best target he could aim for out of surprise was the mage in the backlines since he would have to make a spell to defend himself, which was bound to take some time.
Activating all the possible skills at his disposition, Aiden disappeared from his current position as he headed toward the old man with a long white beard in the back, who didn't react right away.
"Albert! Careful!" The animal-looking human uttered as he couldn't block Aiden as he moved too fast.
"This is no problem. Don't underestimate me," The mage, Albert, muttered as he created a shield around his body, completely neutralizing Aiden's attack.
Aiden tried to pierce it with his claws, but the shield was too powerful, completely blocking his attack.
Aiden didn't panic as he moved back, thinking of a way to pierce through that barrier. The first idea that came to his mind was infusing mana inside of the claws, making them sharper and more powerful all around.
No one out of the five gods managed to catch Aiden, as he was moving too fast. Even the one who specialized in Stealth wasn't faster than Aiden.
Within a few seconds, Aiden charged toward Albert, who once more created his mana shield to protect himself. However, this time, with the mana infused in Aiden's claws, he got through the shield instantly, destroying it as a whole.
"ALBERT!"
Aiden couldn't miss his chance at getting rid of one of the five gods as she slashed the throat of Albert, the Mage, killing him instantly.
Aiden smiled when he understood that maybe the five gods weren't as powerful as he thought in the past. No one was able to rival his speed and agility. Because they each had their specialty. Each of them also had their weaknesses, which wasn't the case for Aiden, who had mastered all types of skills over the past year.
He had learned magic, he had learned how to fight using claws, his charm had gotten much better through the use of Dual cultivation, and lastly, he had gotten much stronger physically through this Demonic Form.
All of their specialty had been something that Aiden had worked on in the past year. That's why he could deal with each of them so efficiently.
"Are you still sure that you don't want to give up?" Aiden teased them as he disappeared once more from their sight.
"Noah! Be careful!"
Aiden's next victim was the person who mastered Stealth. After all, Aiden was much better than Noah at it since no matter what he did, Noah hadn't once been able to reach him.
Spreading his senses all around him, Aiden was able to spot Noah even if he was using an Invisibility skill. This time, Aiden didn't even move from his spot; he simply took his dagger from his inventory and threw it in what seemed to be a random direction. However, the dagger hit something.
"Argh!"
Being fearful of the fire-covered sword, Aiden decided to aim for Leo's back as he appeared behind it. He immediately tried to pierce and grab his heart with his large, black claws. However, it didn't work, as Leo's sword blocked him.
Aiden continued to attack him over and over again, but it didn't work. Leo's senses were simply too powerful, able to anticipate every strike heading for him.
Aiden knew that he needed to think fast when he suddenly had the idea of using a skill that he hadn't used in quite a long time.
The first unknown skill that he had obtained.
[Mind of an Assassin.]
He activated it, and instantly, he saw multiple attempts at killing both Leo and then Ariel, and Sebastian. However, most of them resulted in failures for some reason...until fifteen seconds later. The skill showed Aiden the path he had to take.
He had figured out how to win against the rest of the Gods and in record time at that.
Aiden saw the image of himself move in front of him, and he moved exactly like him, just like he had done many times in the past. The image was tricky, he had to admit, as he hadn't even thought of using his skills in such a way.
Aiden went right back in as he deactivated the [Black Hole], destabilizing Leo for a millisecond. However, that second was the only time that Aiden required as when Leo lost his balance, he dashed it and slashed his head off from his body, and Leo wasn't able to block it as he was only one millisecond late.
When [Mind of an Assassin] was activated, everything was calculated to the fragment of a second. However, for it to work, everything needed to be identical, which is what Aiden had managed to achieve.
After killing yet another god, Aiden turned toward the last two of them.
Ariel and Sebastian were currently walking backward out of fear.
However, the crazy thing about [Mind of an Assassin] was that he could practically see things in the future and right now. It told Aiden to stay still as he didn't need to do anything anymore, and victory would come to him by itself.
Suddenly, after a few seconds, Sebastian was betrayed by Ariel, who pierced Sebastian's heart without him expecting it.
Sebastian had died because of Ariel's sudden betrayal, and instantly...Ariel fell on her knees, begging Aiden.
"Please spare me~! I swear to listen to your every order."
Aiden shook his head. If Ariel had betrayed someone as if it was as easy as breathing, then she would do it again. Ariel couldn't stay alive, and Aiden knew it.
Even if she was pretty, it wasn't a good enough reason. As Aiden approached, he didn't utter a single word as his Demonic Form disappeared, revealing a dagger in his hands as he slashed her throat in one swift motion.
He had done it.
He had killed the five Gods, and instantly, a bunch of messages appeared in front of Aiden.
