Chapter 763: Home visit
"That terrorist organization is quite interesting." After saying that, the puppet witch began to explain various things about that terrorist organization.
"..." Jayden listened in silence, he even stopped walking as he heard rather disturbing things about the organization. The more he listened, the bigger the frown on his face became.
"...That’s all, so what do you think, aren’t they quite interesting?" The puppet witch asked.
"Yes, they are indeed very interesting, looks like I need to visit them."
Jayden said, then he thanked the witch and cut the call. Originally, he planned to just send the Alpha and the other two assassins to take care of them all after asking for their address.
But now he had different thoughts in mind; before going back to Mount Olympus, he decided to pay them a visit.
Placing his mobile back into his pocket, he walked out of the company. All his family was still standing there, their cars had already arrived, and they were just waiting for him.
Emma was already seated in Jayden’s car as she waited for him with a smile. Walking closer to her, Jayden spoke:
"Emi, can you go in Sophie’s car just for today? I have something important to talk about with her."
Emma glanced where Jayden was gesturing and saw Alice standing there. Emma nodded and, a bit reluctantly, she got out of the car and walked closer to Sophie.
"Why don’t you come with me?" Jayden spoke, looking into Alice’s eyes. Although she seemed a little down, she still wouldn’t reject his offer.
Giving him a small smile, she nodded and sat inside. They all got into their cars and began to drive. Jayden held Alice’s hand with their fingers intertwined, then he spoke in a soft tone:
"Is something troubling you?" He still had a little idea why she might be feeling sad.
"..." Alice looked down at his hand and, rubbing her palm against the back of his hand, she nodded and began to speak in a low voice:
"I don’t know why, but I suddenly remembered my father. I don’t know if he is still alive or not, if he is well or not. Before meeting you, he was the only person who cared about me. I’m missing him suddenly."
Alice was holding back her tears. She is so strong mentally, but even she has such moments of vulnerability, where she feels alone.
Without saying anything, Jayden kissed her hand and squeezed it lightly, then placing it over his chest, he spoke:
Once they arrived at home, they ate together. Xerome and Viser returned late after drinking a lot, though that level of alcohol was not enough to get them drunk.
Just as Alice had promised, she paid him more than he asked, and she seemed especially excited, so it wasn’t until late in the night that they finally went to sleep.
Jayden had told the other women that he and Alice were going to her home. He asked if Layla, Sophie, and Eleanor also wanted to visit that planet again. Sophie didn’t really have anything much to remember about that place.
But Layla and Eleanor decided to go along with them to see the grave of the person who was so close to both of them. Layla wanted to see her parents’ grave while Eleanor wanted to see her sister’s and brother-in-law’s graves.
They woke up early in the morning. Jayden left the three assassins at home. Rakshasa was still protecting the company.
Jayden needed to be careful since now there was an even higher chance that the terrorist organization might attack him.
Since he released that news, they must be even more angry, and Jayden planned to go visit them after returning from Alice’s home.
Alice, Layla, and Eleanor, all three of them got ready. They were all gathered in the hall and talking to one another.
"So are you ready to go?" Jayden spoke as he walked into the hall.
"Yes, let’s go." Eleanor spoke, and the other two nodded too.
Then he tore open the space and connected it to Alice’s home. Since there was some difference in time flow, Jayden had to open it at the time when not too much time had passed.
Then, saying goodbyes to the others, the four of them walked into the portal. First, Jayden brought them to the place where Eleanor used to live previously.
"Let’s go and visit their graves first." After he spoke, all of them went to see Layla’s parents’ graves. The place was not too far away from the house.
Jayden and Alice only stayed there for a while, then leaving Layla and Eleanor there, they decided to go to Alice’s father’s kingdom.
"Oh right, I wonder how the prince of this kingdom is, he was in love with you, right?" Jayden spoke.
