#584 - Questioning the Bodhisattva: Why do evil people live to be 100 years old?
#584 - Questioning the Bodhisattva: Why do evil people live to be 100 years old?
Chu Hao's aura rippled outwards, but it was fleeting, and he quickly retracted it.
Chu Hao didn't want to disturb the slumber of the creatures here; the fleeting aura was intended to awaken the great demons.
Demons have a very strong sense of territory, and with a powerful presence like Chu Hao, they would surely come to investigate.
Only by stirring up the muddy waters could he find an opportunity to pass on the fire.
Chu Hao looked down at Guanyin Bodhisattva below, who was indeed working hard.
At this moment, inside the meditation room.
Tang Sanzang was trying to persuade Sun Wukong to go out and commit arson and murder.
Sun Wukong remained noncommittal but still took out the sleeping bug and said to Tang Sanzang:
"Master, if you really want to save them, why don't I, Old Sun, go out and put them all to sleep?"
Tang Sanzang grinned.
"Well said, well said! Good disciple, a meritorious deed!"
"Have you encountered any trouble?" Just then, Guanyin Bodhisattva descended!
Tang Sanzang and Sun Wukong frowned upon seeing Guanyin Bodhisattva's appearance.
Damn it, why is she like a piece of dogskin plaster?
Sun Wukong felt even more uncomfortable; he hated being treated like a dog on a leash, even though Chu Hao had replaced the headband with a magic treasure.
However, the surveillance from the Western Heaven was still so powerful!
Every move they made was under the control of the Western Heaven. Sun Wukong gritted his teeth, and the urge to escape this Journey to the West grew stronger!
Compared to Sun Wukong's glare,
Tang Sanzang was more composed.
Tang Sanzang put his palms together and said respectfully:
"Disciple Tang Sanzang greets Guanyin Bodhisattva. I wonder, what brings Guanyin Bodhisattva to visit this humble monk at night?"
Tang Sanzang was a veteran in the workplace, and dealing with leadership inspections was very easy for him.
Even though he had just been actively encouraging Sun Wukong to commit arson and murder, Tang Sanzang was still at ease when facing Guanyin Bodhisattva.
Guanyin Bodhisattva said faintly:
"Just now, Golden-Headed Jiedi rushed to ask me, saying that you had entered a bandit monastery and were about to suffer the disaster of being burned alive."
"I have come to rescue you, so you need not worry."
Sun Wukong couldn't help but sneer and shake his head coldly.
This reason is too lame!
Even if the fire had not been stopped, with Sun Wukong here, how could Tang Sanzang be in danger?
Everything was just an excuse for Guanyin Bodhisattva to intervene.
Sun Wukong saw through it clearly, but he could only feel helpless.
Guanyin Bodhisattva didn't need the ability to deceive the heavens; she just needed a reasonable excuse.
Guanyin Bodhisattva glanced at Tang Sanzang and Sun Wukong coldly and said indifferently:
"I will lend you a magic treasure that even mortals can use to resist the invasion of flames."
Guanyin Bodhisattva threw out a Fire-Resistant Cover, tossing it to Tang Sanzang like garbage.
Tang Sanzang was happy to get a magic treasure for free.
"In your future travels, you must not commit arson and murder, otherwise you will surely be entangled in karma, and at worst, you will fall into the demonic path, and at worst, you will enter the eighteenth level of hell and never be able to turn over!"
Sun Wukong snorted repeatedly.
"Evil deeds will surely be punished?"
"They have been entrenched in this place for two hundred years, and countless people have been harmed. Is that their retribution?"
How could Sun Wukong not see the ferocity of these bandits?
Just seeing these young men in the Guanyin Monastery, he already knew that this was a place protected by Buddhism.
These people offer incense and merit, and the Western Heaven would never kill them for nothing.
The consistent practice of the Western Heaven is that as long as the living offer to the Buddha and dedicate their vows and merits to the Western Heaven, they will be safe while alive!
Whether you are a local tyrant who harms one side or a bandit who commits murder and robbery, no matter what your virtue, as long as you offer vows and merits, you will live a long life and have everything you ask for!
However, retribution does exist.
It's just that you have to wait until the wicked person dies and can no longer offer vows and merits, and then attack your ghost.
This is the reasonable retribution after death.
Then, in hell, torture these wastes, and if you find a few souls that are good, you can save them again.
Those who have no value will be tortured forever…
The hell in the Buddhist scriptures probably really exists.
It's just that it's a small world self-made by the Buddha, similar to… a private prison.
From death to life, from life to death, everything is arranged clearly, this is the closed loop of the Western Heaven!
They have always lacked control over the real underworld and the human world.
Therefore, the general direction of the Western Heaven has never changed.
When Sun Wukong heard the word "retribution," he basically knew that Guanyin Bodhisattva was determined to protect them.
Tang Sanzang was still unwilling and stared at Guanyin Bodhisattva and said:
"Since we have encountered such bandits, why not bring them to justice?"
Guanyin Bodhisattva stared at Tang Sanzang coldly, and the atmosphere became serious for a moment.
"Tang Sanzang, my Buddha is merciful, good and evil have their own rewards, if you kill, you will surely provoke karma!"
"Those bandits, the human government will punish them, you only need to take care of yourselves, and must not interfere!"
Guanyin Bodhisattva had already issued a warning, and Tang Sanzang couldn't help but remain silent.
Tang Sanzang knew that it was not good to pretend to be stupid anymore; this Guanyin Bodhisattva had completely heard his murderous intent.
Guanyin Bodhisattva wanted Tang Sanzang to suffer, unable to resist, and only obediently be a burden!
As for handing the bandits over to the government…
This place has already passed the Two Boundary Mountains by thousands of miles, and it is no longer the territory of the Southern Jambudvipa.
Government?
Where is that ghost thing?
In fact, except for the Southern Jambudvipa, which promotes education and law under the rule of the Tang Dynasty, most places still use the simplest rule of man.
That is, whoever has the bigger fist has the final say.
The Western Cattle Continent is better.
Because people don't have the final say, the Buddha has the final say.
People are just simple tools for producing vows and merits, and everyone is a believer, so naturally there will be no good or evil.
They are all just tools, who can see good and evil?
Tang Sanzang was very unwilling.
Based on the education he received in the Southern Jambudvipa and the purest sense of justice in his heart, he really wanted to get rid of the bandits in this Guanyin Monastery!
Because, in the deepest part of people's hearts, there is a common sense of justice.
However, Tang Sanzang searched through the Buddhist scriptures and could not find any teachings about helping the weak and upholding justice.
Moreover, there was Guanyin Bodhisattva protecting these bandits in person!
This made Tang Sanzang unable to stretch out the sense of justice in his heart. Could he only let the villains continue to be rampant? Could the justice in his heart only be swallowed in frustration?!
But at this moment, something unexpected happened!
