Chapter 1029 - 275: Xu Lin’s New Research (Career)
It took them half an hour to clean up the room.
Then they took a shower.
Xu Lin bullied Ning Yuhuan in the bathroom for more than an hour.
When they returned to the room, it was only ten o’clock in the evening.
Ning Yuhuan opened her laptop and looked at the requirements for her graduation thesis.
By the end of October, senior classes had already started assigning graduation theses.
Even though Ning Yuhuan had been admitted to graduate school, the graduation thesis still had to be written.
But for an excellent student like her, it’s not a big problem.
Xu Lin, sitting by the desktop computer, casually asked, "When is the graduation internship?"
"We can start the internship now, as long as it’s completed by May next year."
Ning Yuhuan added, "The internship has to be two months long."
"That’s not a problem. You can intern at Sister Yue’s place, or if there’s no time, just ask her for a stamp."
Although Xu Lin hadn’t graduated yet, he understood how some seniors managed internships, as sometimes just getting a stamp was enough.
Moreover, in this era of advanced AI, many people’s graduation theses are completed by AI, or they hire someone to write them.
It’s obvious that Ning Yuhuan wouldn’t do that; this girl was very diligent.
"I want to complete the internship seriously,"
Ning Yuhuan said.
"When will you do the internship?"
"This semester?"
Ning Yuhuan replied, "November and December are just two months."
Xu Lin sent a message to Chi Linyue, saying that Ning Yuhuan would go to her place for the internship next month.
Actually, Ning Yuhuan wanted to find an internship herself because she felt it wasn’t good to always trouble Xu Lin.
Xu Lin agreed in his heart.
For a student like her, not only was she exceptionally beautiful, but her grades were excellent. Especially with her beauty, finding an internship or a job would be particularly easy, as society is quite lenient towards those with high attractiveness, providing express pathways regardless of gender.
But Xu Lin didn’t want to let Ning Yuhuan struggle outside, so he decided to let her intern at Chi Linyue’s company.
The outside world isn’t beautiful.
It’s now October, and campus recruitments are about to end. Many haven’t found jobs or satisfactory positions, stuck between high expectations and low opportunities.
In the current economic climate, many companies coming to campus recruitments only do so to meet government requirements, collecting resumes to later discard, and the so-called employment rate is mostly fabricated.
So, Xu Lin dismissed Ning Yuhuan’s idea and had her obediently intern at Chi Linyue’s company.
Over the next hour or so, Ning Yuhuan and Xu Lin discussed and decided on the direction of her graduation thesis, then settled on a title.
The graduation thesis was straightforward, especially since it was an undergraduate thesis, and it’s not strictly scrutinized. Advisors know undergraduate theses are basically trash, and as long as they’re not too ridiculous, many students pass with a wink.
But Ning Yuhuan still took it seriously, crafting her thesis as per master’s standards.
Once the title was set, it was time to find data.
Economics is part of the social sciences, a humanities-leaning major, though also related to business.
Papers in this field require a lot of data and are relatively professional.
Having data makes it easier, at least ensuring some rigor, giving students some rational and logical thinking, unlike pure humanities majors where papers can often be nonsense with little data.
With the Moon God around, a command from Xu Lin gathered all the data needed for Ning Yuhuan’s thesis.
She didn’t have to go out for fieldwork or experiments to gather data.
If it were a science major, she might still have to squat in a lab repeatedly conducting experiments to gather data, which is quite demanding.
But at the societal development level, science and engineering will become increasingly important; humanities have limited impact on societal development, especially pure humanities.
Ning Yuhuan was preparing to pursue a master’s in regional economics, a major in applied economics.
However, the specific major doesn’t matter.
Xu Lin will always support her, after all, she’s his girlfriend.
Xu Lin would never let her struggle outside, as nowadays, who knows how many people have their spirit drained once they step into society.
By midnight,
it was time to sleep.
As soon as Ning Yuhuan got into bed, before she could even lie down, Xu Lin started undressing her.
Evidently, their bathroom activities were going to continue.
"Senior, I’ve noticed you’ve developed a bit more,"
Xu Lin whispered mischievously in her ear, holding Ning Yuhuan from behind with restless hands.
Twenty-one-year-old Ning Yuhuan was clearly more beautiful than when she was nineteen or twenty, and her figure was better, entering a more alluring age.
"Husband..."
Being teased by Xu Lin’s restless hands, Ning Yuhuan felt uncomfortable all over, but she wanted Xu Lin to take it further.
She wasn’t bold enough to say it directly, though.
However, Xu Lin was already a master at handling women and could see through Ning Yuhuan’s thoughts with a glance.
"Beg me,"
he teased wickedly.
"No way!"
"Don’t you want to?"
"No!"
"Do you want to or not?"
Xu Lin increased his pressure.
"N... no..."
"You do, don’t you?"
Xu Lin chuckled.
Ning Yuhuan didn’t speak, but clearly took the initiative.
Their passionate night continued.
The next morning, Xu Lin took her back to school.
Ning Yuhuan wasn’t accustomed to staying here; she preferred being at school, studying in the library, where she spent much of her time soaking up its conducive learning environment, unlike the atmosphere in a rented apartment.
