"How could they just leave like that?" Guo Shiyi asked, puzzled, watching Fa Yan and the other four leave.

The car turned a corner, and the sunlight suddenly became very bright. Accompanied by a gentle breeze, the chirping of birds came from the woods, and Qin Xiaochuan felt his heart start to pound.

"I hope they can find a new home soon," he murmured.

Night fell, and a cold breeze blew through the woods, rustling the grass and trees, which sounded gentle in the chilly night. Xiao Yi lay on his back on a boulder on the hillside, his hands behind his head, gazing at the moon. A blade of grass dangled from his mouth, his eyes deep in thought. Several small animals lay close to him beside him.

Several animals suddenly stood up alertly at the same time, their eyes looking in the same direction, towards a dark forest.

Xiao Yi also frowned and looked in that direction. After a while, a figure emerged from the darkness. It was Cheng Xiaoman, whom he had met during the day.

Xiao Yi didn't seem surprised at all; her eyes even softened as she watched the other person approach her step by step.

"You're looking at the moon here again? I've loved this place since I was a child," Cheng Xiaoman said softly, her tone suggesting she had known Xiaoyi for a very long time.

"Yes, because it's peaceful here, and I like this peaceful feeling." Xiao Yi smiled gently. "Thank you, Sister Xiaoman, for today. I know it was you who helped me behind the scenes."

"Why are you being so polite with me?" Cheng Xiaoman walked to the boulder, sat down in front of Xiao Yi, and said, "You seem to think highly of that Qin Xiaochuan."
