Chapter 130 Skeleton Monster
Chapter 130 Skeleton Monster
"Yay! There really is a secret room!" Xiaoying's excited voice broke the silence on the altar.
But the others are still in shock, they can't believe this even happened! It's so melodramatic!
Thinking of this, they couldn't help but focus their attention on Xiaoying. What kind of probability was it that such a thing could happen!
"I knew there would be a secret room!" the little girl exclaimed excitedly, then grabbed Qin Xiaochuan's hand, "See, Uncle Xiaochuan, I didn't lie to you, did I? I knew there would be a secret room down there."
"You're just lucky," he said, his face darkening. "Besides, you said there's treasure under the stone tablet."
"They're all the same," the little girl said with a smile. "The treasure is in this secret room down below."
He wanted to say "How could that be?" but he swallowed the words back down, fearing that she might be right again and he would be incredibly embarrassed.
"Then let's go into the secret room and see what's inside," Guo Shiyi said, raising her fist.
"Okay!" the little girl responded enthusiastically, and ran over to Guo Shiyi in a few steps, took her hand and said, "Aunt Shiyi, let's go find treasure together, without Uncle Xiaochuan."
"Okay." Guo Shiyi turned around and grinned at Qin Xiaochuan.
Qin Xiaochuan could only smile wryly and follow them dejectedly into the secret chamber entrance on the altar.
"Ah!" Qin Xiaochuan had just stepped onto the spiraling down the stairs when he heard Xiaoying scream from in front of him.
"What's wrong? Is there really a treasure?" he asked hurriedly, then rushed to the little girl in two steps, thinking that it couldn't really be such a coincidence.
"I don't have any treasures, but I do have this." Guo Shiyi pointed to her ear.
He glanced into the secret room, but there was no light source inside; all he could see was darkness. At that moment, he heard a series of eerie "clucking" sounds coming from the darkness.
"What's inside?" he asked in surprise.
"I don't know. But we'll find out when we see it." Guo Shiyi answered casually, turning on a glow stick in her hand and throwing it forward.
The glow stick bounced off the wall a few times before finally landing on the ground. With its faint light, the group was finally able to see the layout of the secret room. It was actually a circular building. The center of the circle and the outer circle were rows of rooms, and in the middle was a circular corridor. In front of the corridor, more than a dozen gray-white skeletons were walking back and forth, and the strange noises they heard were made by these skeletons.
These skeletons were all the height of an adult, holding various bones as weapons. Their eye sockets were pitch black, and their lower and upper jawbones were constantly clenching, each clenching producing a strange sound like teeth grinding.
"Are these skeletons? Aren't these things only in games? Why are they here?" He stared dumbfounded at the skeletons that swayed slightly as they walked.
"Who knows, but these skeletons are blocking our way," Guo Shiyi said.
"Yes, just leave them to me," he said with a smile, clenching his fist as he walked into the corridor.
"Go, Uncle Xiaochuan!" The little girl stood by, holding up a glow stick to join in the fun.
"Relax, little girl. Uncle doesn't need to put in much effort for such a minor character," he said nonchalantly to the little girl.
"Mmm." The little girl nodded seriously.
At this moment, the skeleton monsters in the passageway had already heard the strange noise and turned around to look at them. When they saw Qin Xiaochuan approaching them, they all raised their weapons and rushed towards him.
"Blazing Dance!" he shouted, launching a massive fireball that exploded, instantly blasting more than a dozen skeletons in the corridor into pieces.
"How about that? I told you it was very casual, right?" He turned to Xiaoying and said smugly.
Instead of clapping and praising as he expected, the little girl pointed to the aisle and said, "But they stood up again."
"What?" He turned around in surprise and found that the shattered bones he had blasted into pieces were constantly gathering together, and after a moment the skeletons returned to their original state.
"How is that possible?" he said incredulously, then unleashed another "Blazing Dance" skill. "I don't believe they can keep resurrecting."
"Yes, they did come back to life," the little girl said in an innocent voice.
"Damn it, if I don't take them down quickly, the little girl will look down on me." He said to himself, clenching his fists. If skill damage wasn't enough, he would switch to physical damage. He charged into the skeleton horde and used his "Blood Surge" to blast each skeleton into pieces again. Then he stared intently at the bones scattered everywhere. To his dismay, the skeletons kept gathering.
"It's still alive." Guo Shiyi chuckled beside her at this moment.
"Damn it, how could this happen!" He couldn't help but sigh to the sky. If he couldn't defeat these skeleton monsters, how could he ever face Xiaoying again?
Seeing that one of the skeletons had completely gathered together, he quickly retreated to the back, while his hand seals kept changing.
"Meteor Shower!" he shouted. Since they could keep resurrecting, he would burn all their bones to ashes. If that didn't work, he would be out of options.
Thankfully, this time it finally succeeded; the skeletons were burned to ashes and did not reassemble.
"How about that? Uncle's pretty awesome, right?" He proudly showed his fist to the little girl.
"But it's so slow." The little girl pouted and shook her head, then walked into the corridor with her hands behind her back.
"Haha." Guo Shiyi and Zhou Bin were amused by the little girl's performance, and even Han Kexin's lips couldn't help but curl up.
As for Qin Xiaochuan, well, let him have some peace and quiet.
"Xiaoying, you're so cute." Guo Shiyi happily walked over to the little girl and couldn't help but kiss her on the forehead.
"Is this really okay? It'll set a bad example for the children," Qin Xiaochuan said helplessly.
"How could she have been corrupted?" Guo Shiyi asked, puzzled.
"Of course it will. You know, children are very smart. If you do this, she will mistakenly think that she can get the adults' favor by mocking others. This will subtly cultivate a personality that likes to mock people."
"It's not as serious as you say." Guo Shiyi's face was full of black lines.
Before he could reply, the little girl in front of him turned around and said, "Uncle, don't worry, Xiaoying has always been very good and will never turn bad." She then gave him a sweet smile.
"See? Xiaoying is so well-behaved, how could she be so easily corrupted?" Guo Shiyi said proudly.
"Uh, of course I didn't mean Xiaoying was naughty..." he said speechlessly, suddenly feeling as if he was the one bullying the little girl.
"Okay, let's go then." Before he could finish speaking, Xiaoying already had a victor's smile on her face.
He finally realized that kids these days are all incredibly clever.
"Let me have some peace and quiet," he said weakly.
