Chapter 363 The Fantastic Four's Communicator
"A knitting master?"
After experiencing so much, Joey almost forgot who the knitting master really was.
After several encounters with the Heirs' family, Joey once stormed their stronghold and discovered their teleportation device.
A master weaver who dwells in the web of fate.
He helped the members of the Heirs family open portals between different dimensions and universes, using the Spider-Totem as a guide to locate all Spider-Men, which led to the Spider-Man hunt that swept across the entire Marvel multiverse.
When Joey told the Spider-Men about the existence of the Weaver, most of them were extremely surprised. The Spider-Men had always believed that the Heirs were tracking them through technological means, but who would have thought that it would all come down to magic?
Spider-Man 2099's idea was not wrong. Killing the Weaver would at least keep the Heirs family quiet for a while. After all, without the Weaver, they would not have the ability to easily travel to the Spider-Man universe.
Do you know what you're saying?
Even without thinking, Joey was certain that the consensus reached between Spider-Man 2099 and the majority of Spider-Men was not this: "Is this your opinion, or the opinion of the majority of Spider-Men?"
The word "kill" seems a bit distant for Spider-Man.
"What does it matter?" Miguel's compound eyes, hidden beneath his scarlet battle suit, gleamed with a bloodthirsty light. "Most of them have already left anyway."
With most Spider-Men deciding to return to their own universes to stay with them until the very end, Miguel's only thought was to temporarily relieve them of some worries:
"Our people are already in place. Are you coming or not?"
Joey's super vision extended outwards from Stark Tower, and soon the personnel for this operation came into his view:
Spider-Man: The Spider-Woman who recently joined the group; Spider-Woman: Maddie Parker, whose family was almost entirely murdered by Morlen of the Heirs; and Spider-Man Noir, dressed entirely in black and white with a lining and a revolver hanging from it.
The people Spider-Man 2099 recruited were not the "most powerful Spider-Man" he claimed to be, but rather Spider-Men who would be ruthless enough to kill the Heirs.
The next collision crisis could come at any time, perhaps in a few hours, or perhaps in a few days or months.
Reason tells Joey that there is no time to waste now, not to mention that if the collision crisis occurs simultaneously, the lives of these Spider-Men returning to their own universe will be reduced by half.
The master weaver is unlikely to sit idly by and wait for death. If anything goes wrong on this journey to the successor's zero universe, the situation on both sides could collapse.
But after much deliberation, Joey decided to lend a hand to these Spider-Men, since they had initially chosen to stay in this universe because he had promised them safety.
Joey silently exchanged a glance with someone opposite him, and Batman, who was usually cold-blooded when it came to weighing pros and cons, nodded slightly, his eyes conveying only the words, "Go for it."
The relationship between the Spider Legion and them is based on mutual support and assistance, not to mention that almost everyone in the Spider Legion is currently a top-tier Green Lantern.
The reason why the former guardians of the blue men failed was that they distrusted the Light Group and treated them as a convenient tool rather than partners to achieve great things together. They cannot make the same mistake now.
If that's the case, then what are we waiting for?
With Batman's approval, Joey grabbed Spider-Man Miguel 2099 and rushed towards the portal to the Spider-Legion's location: "Open the portal, let's go and come back quickly!"
=====
"Wow~" Tony whistled in dissatisfaction upon seeing this, and muttered something under his breath:
"It seems those Spider-Men were right in their private discussions—Superman really will respect your decisions."
Sensing the strong lemon scent, Batman knew Tony was starting to get sour, but what could he do when Iron Man was always so unreliable?
"If you want, you can be like Superman and fully accept other people's opinions."
Tony was completely speechless. That wasn't what he meant at all; the bat in front of him was clearly doing it on purpose.
No sooner or later than Joey left, a tall, slender Spider-Man figure appeared on the outer edge of Stark Tower, banging on the windows. Tony opened the French windows and immediately grinned, "You've come at the right time! We're short-staffed!"
It is Takuya Yamashiro, the Spider-Man of Toei Animation, who has been elusive ever since he returned to his own universe after defeating Galactus and needed to have his mecha repaired.
"Ohayou, Stark-san! Ohayou—"
He politely greeted the three people present with different honorifics, and after a brief exchange of pleasantries, Yamashiro Takuya explained the purpose of his visit:
"Do you have any spare parts that I could borrow?"
Since the battle with Planet Eater, Takuya Yamashiro has pulled the damaged giant spider mech back to his own universe and allowed it to repair itself.
However, the damage that Galactus caused to the mecha far exceeded Yamashiro Takuya's expectations. With nowhere else to turn, Yamashiro Takuya decided to return to this universe to seek some technical support.
"This is Stark Industries. There's no part I can't make."
At this point, Tony's expression turned serious, and he suddenly asked, "By the way, didn't that kind of thing happen in your universe?"
Takuya Yamashiro's relaxed expression didn't seem like he was going through a multiverse collision crisis at all.
When the topic turned to the occasional collision and destruction of two Earths from different parallel universes, even someone as powerful as Takuya Yamashiro could only exclaim, "What?!"
"So you don't know, or rather, maybe the collision crisis hasn't even happened in your universe yet."
Unlike most Spider-Men who are extremely similar, and even share the same name Peter Parker, Spider-Man Takuya Yamashiro, who possesses the giant suit Tony Stark has always dreamed of, is clearly an anomaly among anomalies.
His universe doesn't contain Iron Man, the Avengers, or S.H.I.E.L.D., making it completely different from other parallel universes Tony has seen.
Iron Man pondered for a moment. Takuya Yamashiro's situation brought more questions and different directions of thought. Perhaps the collision of parallel universes is closely related to the "distance" between different universes. The higher the similarity, the closer the "distance" between the two universes will be, and the greater the probability and frequency of collisions will be.
Thinking about it this way, perhaps Yamashiro Takuya's universe is the true "edge," and this crisis may have been completely resolved before it even reached him.
"I told you from the start that you should have sent—no, I mean, given that super robot to me for repairs!"
Tony readily accepted the task; after all, he was already in a state where he couldn't afford to be busy, so what was one more thing?
"Leave the Leopardton matter to me, I'll figure it out! But..."
Tony gave Batman a look, and the latter, as if by telepathy, popped out a green light ring, automatically selecting the appropriate candidate:
"Takuya Shiro, from Earth-51778, you possess a strong will to overcome fear. Welcome to the Green Lantern Corps!"
"Recite after me—"
"The day is bright and clear, the night is dark and boundless." "Demons and monsters have nowhere to hide."
"Ugh, here we go again. I hate this formality!" Tony rolled his eyes at the sight, turned and walked away, skipping the repetitive dialogue segment.
"I need to go check if the device that tracks the Space Treasure has been set up yet."
"Evil traitors and treacherous parties, fear my divine light—"
Although their Green Lantern rings are not part of the Guardians of the Universe system, for Batman, who has fought alongside several Green Lanterns such as Jon Stewart, Hal, and Guy Gardner, even if Iron Man says that the ring oath is a formality, it is still a crucial part of becoming a Green Lantern.
"May the green light shine forever!"
As the final oath was uttered, the emotional spectrum representing courage and willpower, along with the Green Lantern ring, entered Toei Spider-Man's body, and the Green Lantern Corps gained another member.
Takuya Yamashiro, who had just been chosen by the Green Lantern Ring to become Green Lantern, was still in a state of confusion when Batman directly issued him a series of coordinates for pre-defined sectors:
"We're looking for a place called Vormir, so please make the trip."
Anyway, Yamashiro Takuya had nothing to do until Leopardon was repaired, so since he was already here, he might as well do some work first.
"What?!"
-
On the other side, Tony had just reached the top floor, intending to ask Dr. Banner about the progress of locating the Space Stone, when a disheveled woman blocked his way:
It's Susan Stone, the Invisible Woman: "I need your help with something."
Seeing Susan, who was pregnant and looked haggard from the loss of her husband, brother, and friend, Tony, who thought she was likely the culprit behind all this, dared not be negligent in the slightest.
"Just say it."
It was as if the past wasn't enough to worry Tony, and the future was following him like a shadow.
Tony hadn't even figured out how to deal with the Invisible Woman when she unexpectedly approached him first.
How can he explain to the Invisible Woman that it is very likely that his future version killed her entire family?
The brilliant inventor Tony Stark is invincible in technology that far exceeds the imagination of ordinary people, but when it comes to moral and ethical issues that are beyond the understanding of ordinary people, he is also just an ordinary person and cannot find a psychological balance.
To Tony's relief, the Invisible Woman's approach to him wasn't to pursue any crimes he might have committed in the future but hadn't yet committed.
Instead, it's a technical issue.
"My team, they're still alive."
The Invisible Woman held up her communication device for Tony to see. She was now quite certain that the two had re-established contact, and that she had received the complete signal, rather than it being a wishful fantasy born of her mental breakdown.
"They've sent a message; I need your help to find them."
